Google is a company that needs no introduction providing some of the fastest search times and creative apps such as Google Maps, Google Sky, and Google Earth. Google leaves nothing left untouched and at Google Bangalore nothing has changed except one minor difference. The Google Bangalore office is primarily an engineering office unlike some of their other facilities. Engineers build complex but simple to use systems here that intrigue and invite the Electrical Engineers on our trip.
BANGALORE
India’s third most populous city, Bangalore faces issues that any engineering student can learn from. The city is the hub of India’s vast information technology industry, often referred to as the “Silicon Valley” of India, and is among the most entrepreneurial cities in the world. The city serves as an ideal location for the SELF Fellows to visit on their Capstone experience.
KOCHI
Previously known as Cochin, the city of Kochi lies about 140 miles north of Trivandrum. Kochi, once a major hub of the Indian spice trade, offers a unique venue for learning experiences. We will travel to Kochi to visit the Rajagiri College of Engineering. It is a new university, keen on making connections with Universities abroad.

TVS Motor Company is the third largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India and among the top ten in the world. They produce an annual turnover of more than 1 billion USD in 2008-2009 and is the flagship company of the TVS Group worth over 4 billion USD.
